Who I am
My name is Morgan Reid. I bring 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, which drives my commitment to serving individuals with compassion and an open heart. As a registered federal lobbyist, I advocate for transformative policies and legislation that enhance patient experiences and improve health outcomes.
I am also a patient. A dear friend selflessly donated a kidney to me in January 2007, following a nearly two-year journey of my life being sustained by dialysis. In addition to caring for my kidney transplant, I juggle managing type 2 diabetes, which is not always easy. I am incredibly fortunate to have a women’s health physician who recognizes the importance of shared decision-making. My health journey fuels my drive to advance how healthcare providers engage with patients to deliver care and enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
My passion is centered on empowering healthcare providers, elected officials, and others to advocate for patients to ensure they have access to the resources they need to lead healthy fulfilling lives. I aspire to give a voice to those who may feel overlooked. By unmuting the patient voice, I strive to advocate for us all, championing resilience, hope, and action.
I believe in the power of partnership and using our collective power to propel the change we want to see. I love public speaking to share my point-of-view as a patient and solutions for improving how people experience our healthcare system. Let’s collaborate to help each other live healthy lives.
